What Osteopaths can treat
Back pain and other conditions suitable for osteopathic treatment
Osteopaths treat much more than back pain – they are able to help with almost any pain associated with a muscle or a joint, although “blood injuries” should go to A&E. Depending on the nature of the pain, problem or injury, treatment will generally relieve pain or resolve it, and will usually include some simple home exercises or stretches. Here are some examples of conditions which generally respond well to osteopathy
Back ache
Stiff neck
Slipped disk
Trapped nerve
Neuralgia
Lumbar pain / “Lumbago”
Sciatica (leg pain)
Tennis / Golfers elbow
Joint pain
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Muscle pain/strain
Sports Injury
Frozen shoulder
Repetitive strain injury
Arthritic pain
Restricted mobility
Postural problems
